Since 1973, Spinks, Brown & Durand, Inc. has played a dominant role in assisting real estate buyers and sellers in the West Georgia and East Alabama areas. We are very proud of the reputation that we have earned and the many friends we have made through our business relationships.

In March of 1995, we acquired Valley Realty. Valley Realty served as the leading real estate brokerage firm in the West Point-Valley area for almost fifty years.

Recognizing the need to expand our market exposure and to meet the needs of a changing real estate market, in September of 2003 we affiliated with Coldwell Banker, the premier national real estate franchise. Coldwell Banker serves over 3,000 offices in 49 countries and territories.

Our company currently has a staff of approximately thirty including licensed brokers, licensed sales associates and the administrative staff. Many of our residential staff hold professional real estate designations including the Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) or Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI). In addition, we have sales associates who are experienced in marketing farms, acreage and commercial properties.

A relocation department was established in 2003 and is staffed by a full-time relocation director. The firm partners with AnywheRE Real Estate (formerly Cartus Broker Network) which is made up of the top performing brokers across the country. We also work closely with many referral networks such as Weichert Relocation Resources, Inc., Global Mobility Services, NAF Homes, Aires Relocation, and ERC Relocation.

Members of our firm have served in various capacities as officers and in other leadership positions in charitable & professional organizations including Chambers of Commerce, Boards of Realtors and the City of LaGrange, and Leadership Troup. Our firm consistently contributes a large percentage of the membership in the Troup County Board of Realtors Professional Achievement Awards. We are proud to say many of our agents have become life members of the PPA. As members of the Troup County Board of REALTORS, our staff has served in various capacities as Board officers and in other leadership positions.

As a member of several multiple listing services (MLS), we have comprehensive information on all homes listed in Troup County and the West Point-Valley and surrounding areas. National and international exposure of properties through Realtor.com, coldwellbanker.com and many other websites is also provided by the company through the MLS’s IDX capabilities.

From 1973 to today, the goal of Spinks, Brown & Durand, Inc. is to operate as a diversified real estate company offering real estate brokerage and relocation services in a professional and competent manner to the West Georgia and East Alabama areas.
